Irma Thomas, Preservation Hall, Kermit Ruffins and more perform at the House for the Vacation at House of Blues

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The NOCCA Foundation, the The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Defender, and Daniel Price’s family invite you to Home for the Holidays this Wednesday, December 22. This year’s event will once again be in person at his traditional home, the New Orleans House of Blues, located at 225 Decatur St.

Home for the Holidays is an evening of spectacular art and music benefiting the Daniel Price Memorial Fund for Budding Artists, which honors the memory of Daniel Price, a NOCCA alumnus (Visual Arts, 1993). The fund was created following Daniel’s death at the age of 28 while protecting his wife from an abuser. Daniel’s fund is part of the NOCCA Foundation’s Student Success Program, which provides young NOCCA artists with year-round support for college training, supplies and scholarships.

Home for the Holidays kicks off with a Patrons’ Party from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Customers will be treated to back-to-back performances by two New Orleans legends: Irma Thomas and John Boutte!
